Soap And Glory What A Peeling Mask Review

13:30:00 0
Soap And Glory What A Peeling Mask Review

Hey Whisperers,

We all know that i  have a serious face mask obsession, so when i recently saw that Soap and Glory was going to be releasing face masks i was super excited (literally buzzing with excitement). Out of the whole collection i was the most excited for the What A Peeling peel off mask, however no matter how much i searched i couldn't find it anywhere. Then the other day while i was shopping in Coventry i decided to pop into Boots and see if they had it and by chance they had one left, which pretty much means it was meant to be. So i of course stuck it in my basket and headed for the tills, and that brings us to now. I knew that i had to do a post on this mask, so here i am. This has been a little bit of a long intro so I'm going to skip over all of the bits and bobs and get straight into the post....

What A Peeling Face Mask Review

Packaging

The packaging of this product is absolutely adorable. The pink and silver just makes it look so fun, which is just what the mask is like. One of my favourite things about the packaging of this product, alongside a lot of Soap and Glory's other product is all of the puns.  First of the name of the mask itself if super cute and then on each of the little posts it says that the mask has a 'pink-a-peel'. I just love the little added touch that Soap and Glory adds to their products.

Product and Cost

Now the big thing about this product is the price. This mask costs £4, which i get may seem a little expensive but when you look at it you are getting 2 masks so really they are only £2 each which is a really good deal for a product of this quality. Each mask comes in an individual pot and you do also get the 'free scoop' (which in my opinion is a total waste of plastic) so for me £4 is a good price, especially considering their sheet masks are £3.50 each. Now, the product itself isn't exactly revolutionary but i do love it. It is a super bright (the standard Soap and Glory Pink) coloured 'slime', it looks super cool on the face and it stays the same colour throughout the drying process. You do also get a really good amount of product, even though the pots look quite small they do contain more than enough product as even after i applied quite a thick layer to my skin i still had some left over.

How It Works

Once you pop the little tub out of the cardboard packaging you're pretty much set to go. You just peel off the silver seal and start applying the mask. Like i said before it does come with a scoop but it is completely useless when applying this product and i instead suggest just using your fingers. I got a pretty thick layer of the mask on my face (i suggest making the edges a little thicker so they're easier to start peeling) and i still had a little extra left over. Now one thing that i do have so say is that this mask definitely takes a while to dry, i think overall mine took around half an hour to dry, which i don't mind because I just sat around watching YouTube videos, but if you are looking for a quick drying mask this isn't the one for you. Once it's dried you pretty much just peel it off and you're done.

Overall Opinions

Overall I'm pretty impressed with this mask. It definitely cleaned out my pores and it left my skin feeling incredibly soft and tight, however it didn't completely clean out the pores on my nose like a normal pore strip would. For £4 i definitely think that it's worth the price and I'll definitely be repurchasing it again. I do also want to try out some of the new sheet masks that Soap and Glory have released check those out here, so let me know if you would like me to test them out too!

Will you be trying out any of the new Soap and Glory range?

Wedding Gift Guide

Wedding Gift Guide

Hey Whisperers,

The wedding season is upon us! A few weekends ago i attended my uncles wedding,it was an amazing day and i absolutely loved it, however, one thing i didn't love was the gift giving. Little ol' me had no clue what to buy, how much to spend or what they even needed and it was so frustrating, so when i was contacted by Uncommon Goods about writing a post with them about their products i was so excited. As you can tell from the title i am going to be doing a wedding gift guide today but if you would like to check out other gifts from Uncommon Goods they also have incredible gifts for Bridesmaids , Bridal Showers and also some incredible Personalised Wedding Gifts.

I hadn't heard about Uncommon Goods before but i am now completely obsessed with it. Uncommon Goods is an online retailer that sells a wide variety of incredible products. One of the main things i love about the company is that they aim to sell a wide variety of not only handmade products but also recycled and organic products too, they have also never sold any products that contain any fur or leather as they are committed to not selling products that hurt animals, which personally i think is amazing. Something incredibly unique of Uncommon Goods that i haven't seen in many other online retailers before is the fact that you can donate to a non-profit organisation at the checkout. I haven't seen this being offered by any other online retailers but i think it is something amazing and personally i think all online retailers should offer this service.

Wedding Gift Guide

When i saw these key holders on the website, i fell in love. They're super cute and original, yet they're super practical too. If like me you have 101 keys to keep track of, this is the perfect solution. All you need to do is add the key to your key chain and you're ready to go, I do also love that they aren't super big and bulky as they won't take up too much room, which is perfect if you don't have much space to hang things.

These love tokens are one of the cutest things i have ever seen. You get 10 in a pack and they each have a 'redeamable token' on them such as Good For One Hug, Good For One Kiss and Good For One Massage. I think these are not only a super cool wedding gift but i think they'd also be super cool for Valentines day too so if you don't have a wedding coming up you can always get them as a gift for your partner instead, I mean whats not to love?

How cool are these shot glasses?! If like me you have alcohol loving friends these are the perfect wedding gift. They're obviously practical because they'll definitely use them but they're also funny too.  I love the fact that each glass is different too, it just adds a little more comedy to the whole gift, which i think is important for wedding gifts as lets be honest most other gifts are 'serious' whereas this one will be memorable and they'll probably keep them forever.

Alike the Love Tokens, I think that this gift is super cute and unique. These Date Night Bucket List comes with 25 different date ideas for the newly wed couple to do, it ranges from things like Star Gazing to Creating A Piece Of Art Together. I think that this gift is especially perfect for busy couples who don't necessarily have the time to arrange dates. Once you're done with the provided dates you can then also create your own ideas and keep them in the tin too!

Out of all the gifts I've mentioned this one is by far my favourite. This pillow is just so unique and personalised to the couple that it's the perfect wedding gift. I love the fact that it shows the whole world, it kinda gives you the 'you're my whole world' kind of vibe which, personally, i think is beautiful and incredibly romantic.

I hope this post has helped give you some ideas on what to buy your loved ones for their wedding gifts this wedding season! Of course don't forget to check out the amazing Uncommon Goods for more amazing gifts!

Are you married?
If so what was your favourite wedding gift you received?

Birchbox Unboxing - August 2017

13:30:00 1
Birchbox Unboxing - August 2017

Hey Whisperers,

It's Birchbox time again. Over the past few month's I've been pretty disappointed with what I've been getting in my Birchbox's. Writing these posts every month means that i have to go onto the Birchbox website and get the links for each product that has been in the box each month, which in turn means i see what other people have been getting and honestly, my boxes have been pretty crappy compared to other peoples. I am however hoping they get better and if they don't I'm going to start looking into different boxes so if you have any suggestions let me know in the comments down below! Lets get into the post.

What Is Birchbox?

If you're new to Birchbox, Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that you receive each month with 5 products to try out. The products can range from sample size to full size and they also range in price. All products in the box can be found on the Birchbox website where the box is purchased for £12.95 each month. Some months you will receive an email where you can either choose a product or a box/bag design which i love as it lets you make the bag/products a little more of your style! This month's theme was Summer Daze which of course if perfect for the coming summer months. I'm in love with this months box design too it's so pretty.

What I Got This Month

Full Size £2.90

I love hand sanitiser. I'm obsessed with the bright orange shade of this product, I'm not however obsessed with the scent. I can't put my finger on what the exact scent of this hand sanitiser is but it does have a super strong alcohol scent which is pretty much a given when it comes to hand sanitisers but mixed with the other scent it just smells like cheap kids perfume.

RRP £25

I was super excited to see this product in my box this month as I've been breaking out pretty badly over the past month. I tried this out the day before i had a wedding to attend and i definitely think that it helped with the redness i had, it was also super moisturising which is great. I do love this product, but do wish it was a little bit bigger as this one is practically half gone and I've only used it once.

RRP £8

This is one of my favourite products this month, it's super soft and creamy and it blends like a dream. I haven't tried out too many cream shadows so i didn't know what to expect  but I'm in love. The colour is quite dark, so i definitely wouldn't wear it alone but i do think its a great lid colour for a more dark and grungy look. It does have a slight shimmer too it which i also love as i think that it just adds that little bit extra to a smokey eye.

RRP £20

I don't know why but the minute i saw this spray all i could think of was being attacked by a hundred bee's because my hair would smell like sugar. Obviously not going to happen but it's all i could think of. I'm probably never going to use this product as i don't use many texturing sprays in my hair as it already has a lot of volume in it so I'm probably just going to give this to a friend. The smell of this product is also pretty herbal so if i did use it i don't think bee's would attack me (just to let you know)

Full Size RRP £79.98

Before you have a mini heart attack this one brush isn't £79.98 but the set that it comes in is, just wanted to clear that up. This brush is by far my favourite product in this whole box, it is just so pretty and soft. I did receive a Spectrum Brush a few month's ago and i love it so i had high hopes for this one. You did get to pick the colour but like the clutz i am i clicked the wrong button so i just got sent the pink one but it works the same anyway. I'm super happy with this product and it definitely made this months box worth it for me.

Total RRP for this months box

£135.88

Overall, although this box has a high value I'm not too excited about it. As i said at the start of this post, i am going to be looking into other subscription boxes, if you have any suggestions let me know down below!

If you want to try out Birchbox make sure to use my link to get £5 off your first box making it just £7.95!

I hope you've enjoyed this months unboxing.

Beauty Blogger Tag

13:30:00 0
Beauty Blogger Tag

Hey Whisperers,

Us bloggers love tags, so when i saw this one on Bloglovin' the other day i knew that i had to give it a try. I do want to completely give credit to the amazing Life As Lois May as i found these questions on her blog! I hope you enjoy this post, i have tagged a few people at the end of the post but feel free to join in and write your own post if you want to!

What is your favourite high street beauty product?

Most of my beauty products are 'high street' products so this is a hard one for me. I think overall my all time favourite high street beauty product is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer I have so many of these in my makeup collection and i solely blame Zoella for it. I'm not really the kind of person to rush out and buy something because someone i watch/read mentions it but this for me was one of the things i did try. Zoe did a makeup tutorial when she had some acne and this concealer completely covered it which for me just made me want it right there and then as i had pretty bad skin, and well, I've been obsessed ever since.

Which beauty blogger do you always turn to for beauty advice?

When it comes to personally talking to someone about beauty products it has to be Leah Prescott or Georgia's Beauty Box, they both love makeup just as much as me so they're amazing to speak to about products. Alongside them, when it comes to blog posts on beauty products i love LuxuryBlush and MakeupwithJayxo both blogs have some incredible posts on them and i find myself going back and re reading posts they've already posted again.

Most instagrammable beauty product out there?

Lipsticks are always a hit on Instagram. The most popular ones that i see everywhere are the YSL lipsticks and the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I think because both of them are super elegant and luxurious they just look incredible when photographed.

What do you make of Huda Beauty?

I don't own anything from Huda Beauty, but they look like they have some incredible products. I personally think that £56 for an eyeshadow palette is a lot of money and i personally don't think I would ever be able to spend that on one product. However the quality does look amazing and the shadows are gorgeous. I think that it's incredible that Huda has created such a big brand from just her social media.

What is your favourite high end beauty product?

I  don't really think that Zoeva is a 'high end' beauty product but i am obsessed with their Caramel Melange palette. For something more pricey i love the Benefit Hoola bronzer, it is just so pigmented and blendable, it is pricey for what it is but it is definitely worth the money.

CHANEL or Dior?

I don't personally own anything from Chanel or Dior but from trying out their products in store i definitely favour Chanel, the packaging, quality and the overall look of it is so incredibly beautiful and luxurious. When it comes to fragrance i also love the Chanel fragrances they're so strong and they just smell absolutely incredible.

What is your most embarrassing beauty blunder?

I used to be super obsessed with black eyeliner. I'd wear it on my upper and lower water line, with winged eyeliner and then I'd smudge it too. I literally looked like a panda. I also never used to touch my brows and they used to look like complete and utter slugs, i cringe now looking at my ID because they look so bad it's unreal.

Share a beauty tip?

Don't take makeup too seriously. If you want to wear a bright yellow shadow, do it. If you want to wear orange blush do it. Makeup is an outlet for how you feel and it is so important not to take it so seriously. Growing up I became so dependent on makeup, so bad that i wouldn't even walk to the end of my driveway without it on. I wish i could go back and tell myself that I didn't need to rely on makeup so much.

I nominate these amazing bloggers for this tag

Georgia - Georgiasbeautybox.blogspot.com

Leah - Theprescottfamilyblog.wordpress.com

I hope you've enjoyed this post, it's been a while since i did a tag so i thought this would be a fun post!

July Favourites 2017

13:30:00 5
July Favourites 2017

Hey Whisperers,

I swear that i say this every month, but i honestly don't know where the last month has gone. I have however collected a few new favourites that, I of course, am going to be share with you. I feel like this month has just been full of none stop running around with work, friends and birthdays i don't feel like I've had a moment to just stand still, but I've loved it. I'm obsessed with so many things this month but I've narrowed it down to my top 5 so that this post isn't too long. So lets get into it.

July Favorites 2017

Clearasil Daily Clear Gentle Gel Wash

This face wash has worked miracles for my skin this month. If you've been a long time reader you'll know that my all time favourite face wash is the Soap and Glory foaming wash but I've been on more of a budget this month with everything that I've been doing so this Clearasil one has been my ride or die. I picked this up for £2 in my local supermarket and it has helped my skin so much, it's controlled my breakouts and it's helped to keep my skin moisturised ad it doesn't dry out my skin, which is something i think that the Soap and Glory one does do.

Matalan Escape to Aruba Candle

This candle smells amazing, to me it just smells like summer. Unfortunately i don't have a link for it as it was in the sale but i think it may still be in stores as i only brought it 2 weeks ago. This candle is amazing i paid £2 for it which is a huge bargain especially considering how big it is. It does say it will burn for 45 hours which is amazing, however i don't think candles ever burn for as long as they say. I've been lighting this candle of a night time because it just makes my room feel so cosy and I'm obsessed with it, i kinda wish I'd picked up more than one.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask

I am so late to the game on this one, but I've finally got it. This mask by L'Oreal is INCREDIBLE. I've used it 4 times now since i got it 2 weeks ago and i still have so much product left it's so good. This mask leaves my face feeling so soft and clean, I'm pretty much obsessed with it. I picked this up at ASDA for £3 which was an amazing deal but i know that it's on offer a lot in different stores for £5 so i would definitely recommend shopping around if you don't want to pay the full price of £8 for it.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Water Resistant Mascara

Here again with this mascara. I know that I posted  a review on this mascara not too long ago *read that here* but i couldn't not add it into my favourites too. This mascara is amazing, it keeps my lashes looking super natural while also adding length and volume too them. I have also tested out the water resistance of it and it definitely is waterproof too. I don't know what else to say about this product it's just a really good mascara.

Essie Nail Laquer in Viva Antigua!

I am such a wuss when it comes to nail colours, I've always stuck to the bog standard nude colours but when i saw this one in TKMaxx i knew i had to get it. I have been reapplying this for the past month and a half and i still love it. It's the perfect aqua blue colour and the glitter in it, is so beautiful. I paid £3.99 for this in TKMaxx and it was totally worth it. I have also found a lot of amazing colours on the Fragrance Direct site for around the same price too, so if you don't have a TKMaxx local to you Fragrance Direct is a good place too *shop here*.

Another month, another favourites post done. I hope you've enjoyed this month's favourites! I am going on holiday next month so I'm hoping to be able to sort out my favourites before I go!

I hope you've enjoyed this post.

5 Under £5 - Skincare

13:30:00 2
5 Under £5 - Skincare

Hey Whisperers,

Over the past few months all i seem to be seeing all over social media is ads and promotions for amazing skincare brands, which is of course amazing, but the minute you click on the link you see the price tag and unfortunately, more often than not, the price tag of these products is through the roof. So today i thought i would start a new series called 5 under £5 where i talk about 5 of my favourite products from a 'category' whether that be skincare, makeup, tools  etc. Getting good products on a budget isn't always easy, but hopefully this will help some of you who are on a budget like me! I hope you enjoy

Beauty Formulas Tea Tree Deep Cleansing Nose Pore Strips

These beauty strips are some of the best that I've ever tried and guess what... they only cost £1! Yeah that's right £1. I saw these a few month's ago in my local Savers and for £1 i thought I'd try them out and I'm so glad that i did. Like i said previously they are the best pore strips that I've ever tried, they clear out my pores, they leave my skin feeling amazing and unlike other pore strips they don't leave any residue behind which i love. I was going to insert a picture of the results as i know some people love that kind of stuff but i thought it was a little gross for this post.

Coco Fresh Coconut Oil

If you've been a reader of my blog for a while you'll know that i am completely obsessed with this stuff. I originally brought it for oil pulling on my teeth but that was just a process i couldn't deal with so i decided to try it out on my skin and it helped me so much, it makes your skin feel amazing. It is however quite a greasy moisturiser as it is an oil, so if you don't like greasy feeling moisturisers this one definitely isn't for you. Coconut Oil can get expensive but you can get this 500g tub from B&M for just £1.69 (or you can get it from ASDA where it's a little dearer at around £2.60) and it will last you ages.

Clearasil Daily Clear Gel Face Wash

I've only recently found this face was but i love it. I have quite a bit of acne on my face and before this face wash, the only face wash that helped was the Soap & Glory Foaming Wash but that one costs £8 and when you're on a budget £8 for a face wash isn't the greatest. I got this one for £2 in my local Morrisons but I think that it is usually £3/4. This face wash has left my face feeling super clean and fresh and it's helped me fight off any breakouts which is a must for me.

TKMaxx Face Masks - Majority in store are £1.99 each or packs of 5/6 for £4.99

TKMaxx is possibly my all time favourite shop and these face masks are one of the main reasons why. If you know me you know i love my face masks but lets be honest they can get pricey. Most of the sheet masks in TKMaxx range at £1.99 each or you can pretty much always get boxes of 5-6 boxes for £4.99 making each mask less than £1 each!. My all time favourite sheet mask that I've found in TKMaxx is the Water Bomb Jelly mask that i got an amazing deal on as i only paid £1.99 for a box of 5 which was amazing. The Waterbomb is a super saturated sheet mask covered in a jelly like serum and i kid you not, it leaves my skin as soft as a babies bottom (not sure if that is a fab phrase to use when talking about my face but we're going with it) it is amazing. I only have this one left which sucks but i'm going to be searching the internet to find another box.

Nivea Daily Essentials Eye Makeup Remover

I've only had this eye makeup remover for a little over 2 months and as you can see by the amount of product left, i absolutely love it. No matter what makeup I'm wearing this never fails to remove it. Over the past few years I've tried so many eye makeup removers and they've just left me with super dry and irritated eyes because i had to rub them so much to get the product off but this is nothing like that. With the smallest amount i can get off my entire eye-shadow and liner in one swipe then i use another Cotton pad and wipe my lashes down gently and all my mascara comes off. It is quite greasy feeling but in a way i like that as it doesn't dry out the under eye area. It's normally £3.59 but it's on offer right now (as this post goes up) for just £1.75 at Superdrug which is AMAZING, especially for how amazing it is.

Not everything has to be super expensive when it comes to skincare! I hope this post has helped you find some new budget skincare loves!

What's your favourite skincare product that costs £5 or less?!

Beauty Bite Compressed Face Mask Review

13:30:00 2
Beauty Bite Compressed Face Mask Review

Hey Whisperers,

As most of you probably know, I'm super obsessed with face masks so when i saw this compressed face mask in my local TKMaxx i knew that i had to try it out. As you can see in the pictures this tub does include both charcoal and bamboo masks but i will only be showing the bamboo mask in this post. These masks are compressed sheet masks that you add your own toner, moisturiser or serum too to create a completely custom mask. So lets get into the post.

Beauty Bite Compressed Face Mask Review

Packaging

I am in love with the packaging of this product. The tub that the masks come in is a pretty simple clear tub with a rose gold lid which matches the rose gold details on the labels. I love how simple the packaging is as it allows you to see what the product side is while also giving you enough information about it too. I also love it as it is something that you can use quite easily after you use up all of the products.

Product & Cost

In the tub i chose you get 25 masks, which i personally think is a super good deal. One thing i didn't love as much was that there aren't equal amounts of each mask and in my case there were far more bamboo masks than charcoal. Now for these 25 masks i paid £4.99 which for me was a decent price but you do have to also factor in the price of the moisturiser, toner or serum that you add to the masks which does make them a little more pricey, however if you use products you already have it doesn't work out too bad.

How It Works

Each face mask comes in it's own sealed plastic pot, which although helps when it comes to adding the liquids, ends up with a lot of waste. Once you've peeled off the seal you pour in your desired liquid, on the packaging it suggests a toner, moisturiser or a serum, for this one i used my Skin 79 Skin Apple Mint Clearing Toner. After you pour in the liquid the mask starts to expand, it kind of reminds me of those character compressed face clothes for kids. After all of the liquid has been absorbed you just un-roll the mask and it opens into a sheet mask.

Overall Opinions

Overall i don't love or hate this product. I think the idea is amazing as it allows you to make a completely custom mask which i think is great, especially if you have sensitive skin. But it is also a lengthy and unnecessary process to go though as you're ultimately just putting products onto your skin that you could apply without the mask. One issue i did have with the mask above all else was how oddly it was shaped, I've tried a lot of face masks so the odd shapes are not new to me but this one was by far the most difficult to apply and keep on my face as the slits were either too big or way too small for it to sit comfortably on the skin. I do think that it's a cool product to try out but it definitely isn't my favourite mask I've tried.

What's your favourite face mask?

5 Tattoo's I Love But Won't Be Getting

5 Tattoo's I Love But Won't Be Getting

Hey Whisperers,

If you've been a reader of my blog for a while now you'll know that i absolutely  love tattoo's and piercings. Another thing that i love is Pintrest, so of course, I made a pintrest board for tattoo's i love and over the past few years it's grown and grown and so today I thought that I'd share with you 5 of the tattoo's that i absolutely love but won't be getting. I hope you enjoy!

5 Tattoo's I Love But Won't Be Getting

The first tattoo i absolutely love is this anklet tattoo, now i know I've put it on this list but i would still really love to get it. To me it just looks so elegant and pretty yet it's something different too, something that you don't see everywhere which is what i love about tattoos. Although I do love this tattoo it does have a lot of detail in it and it's in a sensitive place so it would be a super long and painful tattoo to get. I do definitely want to get a tattoo like this one though, maybe one with just a little bit less detail.

This anagram is one that i saw and fell in love with years ago when i was super obsessed with Tumblr and I've loved it ever since. If you haven't seen the anagram EHFAR before it stands for Everything Happens For A Reason, which i love and 100% believe in. Now although i do love the anagram I'm not a huge fan of text tattoos for me, I've seen loads on other people that i love but i don't think they would suit me very well, so i definitely won't be getting this tattoo.

Behind the ear tattoo's have always been some of my favourites, this one was one of the first tattoo's that i fell in love with and it was the tattoo i wanted for sooo long, then one day i just didn't love it anymore. Alike the anklet tattoo it has a lot of detail which means it would be a super long and painful tattoo to get, which by no means makes it not worth it, but for me it is just not the kind of design that i want anymore.

This tattoo was one of the first ever tattoo's that i ever wanted, i absolutely love how it looks and it is so elegant and pretty, but it is also super popular. One thing i want my tattoo's to be is different, i don't want to have the same tattoo that thousands of other people have and that would be the case if i got this tattoo. Back when i first fell in love with it, it was popular but it's become even more popular now so I've kind of gone off it.

When i turned 18 this was the only tattoo that i wanted, I'd planned it for years, decided what i wanted to add and what i wanted to take away. Then one day i realised that it just wasn't me anymore. I love skulls, i don't know why but i absolutely love them, and i still definitely want a tattoo with one in but i just think this one is a representation of what i used to be like instead of what I'm like now. I still think it is incredibly beautiful but i don't think i could ever get it.

I think that tattoo's are absolutely beautiful and each and everyone is a piece of art, i can't wait to finally decide on a design for my first tattoo and actually get it done. I will definitely be blogging about that whole experience when i finally do it so keep your eyes peeled for that post, hopefully it won't be too long from now!

Do you have any tattoo's?
If so let me know what they are below or send me a picture on twitter here!

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara Review

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara Review

Hey Whisperers,

Covergirl has always been a makeup brand I've wanted to try, but living in the UK it was pretty much impossible for me to try it, unless i ordered it online. While shopping in TkMaxx the other day i came across the Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara for £2.99 by the tills so i had to pick it up and of course i also had to review it for you guys, so i hope you enjoy.

Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara Review

Lets Talk Packaging

One thing i love most about this mascara is the packaging, i love how bright the tube is because if like me, you're a huge makeup hoarder, it's hard to find an exact mascara especially when they all look the same. Another thing i love about the packaging is the metallic silver writing, however I don't think it will last long, i think it's the kind of labelling that will wear off if you use it too often. Overall it's pretty much your standard mascara packaging, well apart from it being bright green of course.

The applicator on this product is also one that i really love. It's not massive or bulky like a lot of other mascaras that I've tried, instead it's pretty small with a slight curve which makes coating each lash super easy. Now, one thing that isn't too great about this applicator is that it is super spiky. If you get it too close to the root of your lashes it can feel quite spiky on your eye which is never fun. The 'handle' is also super smooth so if like me you're super clumsy it is super easy to drop as you can't get a super good grip on it.

The Results

Honestly, I'm quite impressed with this mascara. It separated my lashes pretty well and it is super black. I do wish that it would have made them a little longer but for £2.99 i can't really complain. One thing that this mascara did do very well was curl my lashes, one of the biggest problems that i have with my lashes is that they pretty much stick out straight when they have nothing on them, this mascara however curled them pretty well and they stayed curled all day. Now this mascara does also claim to be waterproof and when i have worn it it has been quite difficult to remove and  it does stick put so i do think it is a good option if you're looking for something waterproof.

Overall Thoughts

Overall I'm pretty impressed with this mascara, it isn't the best mascara i have ever tried but it is pretty good and i have found myself reaching for it quite a lot since i got it. I do like to layer my mascaras so layering this over the top of my TASH mascara is my favourite combination at the minute. I of course did get mine from TkMaxx but you can get this mascara online from Amazon here for £2.94 with £1.99 P&P.

Birchbox Unboxing - July 2017

Hey Whisperers,

It's Birchbox time again! If you're new to my blog, each month i unbox my monthly Birchbox subscription box and go through each product with you. Before subscribing to Birchbox i loved reading other peoples unboxings so now I'm a subscriber I couldn't not share what i get each month too. So lets get into the unboxing.

What I Got This Month?

RRP £25.50

This Benefit Lip and Cheek stain was this month's pick your shade product, you could pick between the Cha Cha Tint (which i chose) and the Go Go Tint when you logged into your Birchbox account. Personally I'm not a huge fan of products like these so I'm probably going to add this to my Giveaway pile or I'll give it to a friend. The colour is super subtle and it does seem like a good product but the sample size of it is so tiny it's 2.5ml so it wouldn't last long at all, so although it is of course a great brand I'm not too impressed with the size.

RRP £7.99

I am so intrigued by this product. When i first saw it in my box i thought it was some kind of lip scrub but i was quite surprised when i saw that it was a deodorant. I haven't yet tried it out but I'm definitely going to in the next few weeks. To me it smells like a candle and unfortunately because i don't love the smell of coconut I'm not in love with it, I'm hoping that once it's on it won't be as super strong like it is in the jar. I am quite excited to try it though.

RRP £20

I was super disappointed  when I saw this product in my box, as i said last month i seem to be getting quite a lot of hair care products and even now that I've changed my beauty profile I'm still getting them. Another thing that bothered me about this product is that I've already received a product from this brand before which although isn't the worst thing in the world is a little annoying as one of the main things that Birchbox promises is trying out new brands each month. This is an overnight leave in balm that you wash out in the morning, it is supposed to leave your hair super soft and nourished.

RRP £35

I was so happy to see this perfume sample in my box. I don't think I've ever received a perfume sample in Birchbox before so this was something new for me. This perfume smells incredible it's super floral and sweet and it's pretty much the perfect summer scent. It smells so musky and comforting which i know sounds weird but it just makes you feel so cosy and warm. I may order the full size of this perfume the next time i get paid because it smells incredible!

RRP £16

Balance Me is another very popular brand in Birchbox, I'm pretty sure this is the third or fourth product that I've received from them which is pretty annoying. This micellar water is a pretty cute 'travel size' product with 30ml of product. It does however have a super herbal scent which I'm not a big fan of, especially considering it's going to be on my face which means I'll have no choice but to smell it. I'll probably try it out but I'm not super excited about it.

Full Size RRP £12.50

Last but definitely not least is my favourite product in this months box. The Tangle Teaser Compact Styler, I've wanted to buy a tangle teaser for so long but as you can tell from the price of this one they're quite pricey for just a hair brush. This compact one comes with a lid/cover which is perfect for taking it on the go and I'm in love with the colour of it. I pretty much used it as soon as i got it and i fell in love instantly. I have pretty knotty hair and this combed through it so easily and didn't pull or tug at my hair at all. I love it .

Total RRP For This Months Box

£116.99

Overall I'm not super impressed with this months box, the only  products I'm excited for are the Perfume, Tangle Teaser and the Deodorant. I don't know if I'm going to be keeping my Birchbox subscription much longer as i haven't been to impressed with my boxes recently so if you have any other boxes you'd like to see me unbox let me know down below!

If you want to try out Birchbox you can use my link here to get £5 off your first box making it just £7.95!
