Morphe 60p Dupe? Primark Ps... Custom Eyes Review

Morphe 60p Dupe? Primark Ps... Custom Eyes Review

Hey Whisperers.

Last year i did a post on the Makeup Obsession range at Boots and you guys loved it, so when i saw a similar product in Primark i knew i had to try it! Plus, lets be honest i just love Primark makeup. This weeks post is on the new Primark Custom Eyes customizable eye shadow palettes and I'm way too excited about them so lets jump straight into the post!

Primark PS.. Custom Eyes Review

How It Works

Much like the Makeup Obsession range (post here) you pick the individual shades that you want in your palette and build it up. In Primark you can pick from 4 or 9 shade palettes, which i love as i think anything larger just takes up way too much space. Primark have a pretty wide range of shadows to pick from, from what i can see online there's around 30 shades that range from matte to shimmer to metallic. You then pay for the palette and shadows separately take them home and pop them in, it's so simple but also super fun.

What I Got and Swatches

Like i previously mentioned i picked up the 4 shade pan, which i kinda regret now but more about that later, for £2.I also picked up 4 shadows too (could i be any more obvious) in the shades Bone, Baked, Gold Digger and Truffle for 60p each, yep you read right SIXTY PENCE, i was expecting them to be more expensive but as soon as i saw they were 60p i knew i had to have them.

Top to Bottom

Bone
Baked
Gold Digger
Truffle

Honestly, i was quite shocked by the quality of these shadows. I've tried my fair share of Primark shadows (post here) and they've definitely not been the best quality, but these are the complete opposite. They're pigmented, soft, blendable and I'm kinda in love. I brought some Morphe shadows not too long ago and these are 10x better than those and they cost £4.50 each on Beauty Bay ,which is more than i paid for this whole palette, which just shows that bigger brands don't always have the best products. Alongside the pans the actual palette is also amazing quality, it's a nice soft touch matte black which i love and it magnetically closes too. Something i love the most about this palette though is the fact that the pans stick in the slots with magnets, i know this seems like such a simple thing but in the Makeup Obsession palette your pans just clip in and i can't even tell you how many times they've fallen out and caused a mess so i was super happy to find out that these are kept in by a magnet.

Overall Thoughts

For 60p can you really go wrong with these shadows? They're a little powdery, but for the price i wouldn't expect them not to be a little powdery. I definitely think they're worth trying and i will be going back and getting as many shades as i can when i get paid next. I love how affordable they are and the quality of the palette itself is amazing.  I do wish the palette had a mirror inside but for the price i don't mind too much. The only complaint i have about the whole palette is the packaging that the pans come in, it's like a flimsy folded cardboard and the pans are just lay inside with nothing keeping them still so they slip around and by the time you open it up it's full of little bits of shadow which just ends up messy, but apart from that i love them, to me they're more than a dupe for Morphe  they're 10x better.

Will you be trying out any of the Primark shadows?
Let me know in the comments down below!

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

Hey Whisperers,

It's that time again, Birchbox time. I've said in my past few months that I've been thinking of switching my subscription to Glossybox and I've decided that I'm definitely going to be doing that starting January so next months Birchbox post will be the last! This month's box is a pretty good one though so lets get into unboxing it!

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

What Is Birchbox

If you're new to Birchbox, Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that you receive each month with 5 products to try out. The products can range from sample size to full size and they also range in price. All products in the box can be found on the Birchbox website where the box is purchased for £12.95 each month. Each box is designed and themed differently each month, with this month's box being Vogue 100 themed.  Birchbox has introduced a new scheme called Birchbox Benefits, where after 6 months of being subscribed, you become a Birchbox VIP meaning you get the first chance to pick a product or the design of your box each month. As a  Birchbox VIP you also get 15% off everything in the Birchbox shop with it a pretty good deal for just being subscribed.

What I Got This Month

Percy and Reed Smoothed,Sealed and Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil.
RRP £14

By now we all know that i don't really use any of the hair products that i receive in my boxes. I have super sensitive skin so i tend to stay away from hair oils. I have altered my Beauty Profile but i seem to get hair products pretty much every month. Although i won't be using this oil i did swatch it to get a feel of it and it does feel quite nice, it isn't too thick like some other hair oils and it does smell quite nice. It isn't an overpowering smell, it kind of just smells clean which i like. I think if you're an avid hair oil user this would be a great product for you.

Birchbox Brush Cleaner
Full Size - RRP £5

I already have a product similar to this so i may put this into my upcoming giveaway, but these little brush cleaners are a life saver. I use my Primark one to clean my eye shadow brushes all the time and it makes it so easy to get all of the pigment out of them. I also love how small they are as it makes travelling with them so easy. Although it is a pretty basic product to get i am super happy that i got it, it's definitely one of my favourite products in this months box.

Seche Vite, Dry Fast Top Coat
Full Size - RRP £9

I love the sound of this product, according to the Birchbox description says that this nail polish penetrates (not a good enough reason to use the word penetrate - if you know you know)  through your polish to form it into a solid with a 'long lasting' glossy seal. The packaging also says that it is 'the worlds finest top coat' and that it won't cause your nails to turn yellow like most nail polishes do after you have them on for awhile. I can't wear nail polish at the minute as i work with food so i can't wait till i have some time off work so i can give this a try.

Clarins Hand And Nail Treatment Cream
RRP £21

I've never tried anything from Clarins before so i was quite excited when i saw this product in my box. My hands have been so dry lately as the weather has been changing so this product couldn't have arrived at a better time. Although it isn't full size it is a pretty decent sample size at 30ml, which personally i think is a perfect size for a hand cream. I've tested it out a few times (I've literally just put it on before i started this paragraph) and it's amazing, it isn't greasy or super thick like a lot of other hand creams I've tried and it sinks into the skin super fast. I'm not a huge fan of the scent as it is more of a clean/plant like smell but I'm definitely going to be keeping it in my bag over the colder months.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
RRP £24.50

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but i frigging love this bronzer. It's super pigmented, blendable and it's the perfect colour. I already have quite a few mini's of this product but i will never have enough of it. I love the plastic packaging on this one as it will make it a lot easier to store than my other boxed minis. I could receive one of these every month and I'd be happy as can be it's one of my all time favourite beauty products.

This Months Total RRP

£73.50

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this months box, it's definitely better than some of the other boxes that I've received lately. As i did previously say, next months Birchbox unboxing will be my last but i will definitely be unboxing a new beauty box in January so keep a look out for that!

If you want to try out Birchbox feel free to use my link to get £5 off your first box making it just £7.95!

I hope you've enjoyed this months unboxing!

Winter Decor Wishlist

Winter Decor Wishlist

Hey Whisperers,

I've recently become obsessed with decorating, every store i go to the home section is my paradise. I'm going to be re-decorating my room soon but before i start a post on that i thought that i would do a quick post on some of the Winter Decor items that I've added to my wishlist. I'm a big lover of budget decor as it can get pretty pricey when it comes to decorating so i am going to try and keep this post pretty budget friendly too! I hope you enjoy!

Winter Decor Wishlist

'Wake Me UP When Santa's Here' Bedding
Avaliable here from Matalan
£20

I don't know if it's just me, but i absolutely love Christmas bedding, so much that I've already had mine on for over a month. This set from Matalan is super cute, i love the fact that they're quite bright and light instead of the normal solid red/green colour but they still have the colours running throughout them. I also love the little red pom-poms that border the pillow cases. The only downside to this set is that it does only come in a double or king size option, which does kind of suck, I am going to be getting a double bed soon though so hopefully it will still be in stock when i get my bed.

Faux Fur Throw
View on Primarks Website Here
£15

We all know i love Primark so there was pretty much no way that i would have been able to do this post without including something from their Home section. This Faux Fur Throw is one of, if not the, softest throws that I've ever felt it's amazing. I do love the Christmas throws that Primark have in at the minute but i just love how simple this one is too, if not more. I also love that this throw isn't overpriced like most throws that I've seen, it's a decent size and the quality is amazing so it's definitely  something I'm going to pick up next time i see it.

Christmas Cookie Candle
Avaliable Here From Yankee Candle
£1.99 - £23.99

I don't know what it is about this scent but it just makes my whole room smell so cosy and warm. I'm not a huge fan of candles that smell like food but this one is amazing. I brought so many of small 'votive' versions of this candle last Christmas because they just smell so amazing so hopefully i can get my hands on the big jar this year because it's definitely worth it.

Small Geo Wire Storage Basket
Avaliable Here From Oliver Bonas
£20

Like i previously said, i love throws and when it comes to me i just end up throwing them all in a pile in my room, so when i saw this wire basket from Oliver Bonas i fell in love with it. Lets be honest it's pretty much made to keep all my fluffy throws in! I love the fact that it's gold as it will go perfectly with my new room and it's not too huge that it will look too much. It's pretty much perfect.

White Christmas Gold Polka Dot Mug
Avaliable Here From Zazzle
£10.55

You can't have Christmas hot chocolate, without a Christmas mug. I'm in love with this one from Eyestigmatic_Design on Zazzle, it's absolutely adorable. Like the bedding i previously mentioned, i love the fact that this isn't in your face red and green, Santa and Reindeer's kind of Christmas but instead a more gentle and cosy side instead. I also love that it's from a smaller business as i think it's super important to support smaller businesses, especially at Christmas.

I can't wait to share more of my decor wishlist's with you guys, I'm going to be writing a few more over the upcoming months as I'm going to be completely re-doing my room so let me know if there are any specific kinds of posts you would like me to do!

I hope you've enjoyed this post,

Thanks for Reading,

November Wishlist

November Wishlist

Hey Whisperers,

So this past week has pretty much been full of writers block, sometimes i can have pages and pages of ideas and then the next week i can have nothing. This past week has definitely been a nothing kind of week. I didn't really know what to post today and then i came across a few things while i was online shopping and i decided that a wishlist would be the perfect post. I haven't done one of these in quite awhile but i hope you enjoy!

November Wishlist 2017
£5

I go to Primark all the time, like pretty much once a week and I'm still yet to see this cardigan. I absolutely love mustard colours at this time of the year so this is 100% my taste and for £5 it's an amazing price. As soon as this comes into my local store I'm going to be grabbing it.

£23

These eye-shadows have been everywhere since they were released a few months ago and I've wanted them ever since. No matter how many shadows i try, i can't find any that are sparkly enough but these look incredible in swatches, so next pay day i might treat myself.

£5

I've been seeing these highlighters everywhere and they look amazing. I don't need anymore highlighters but i honestly just can't help buying more. I've never tried a loose highlighter before either so I'm excited to see these in stores, swatch them and hopefully buy them.

£12

I'm going to redecorate my room in a few weeks and I've been looking for bedding for my new bed and as soon as i saw this i fell in love. I'm pretty much going for a grey, white, pink, blue and gold theme (could i pick any more colours) and this bedding fits perfectly and i mean for £12 it's a great price. (PS. Let me know if you want a 'room tour' or 'room transformation post' in the comments below)

£28.99

Taking product photos during the autumn/winter is by far one of the most irritating things ever. Lighting is never perfect and it makes taking decent photos almost impossible so i definitely want to invest in some lighting. These seem pretty cheap, which obviously isn't always a good thing but at the same time i don't want to splurge too much into them if i don't like them so hopefully on my next pay day I'll be able to try these out.

There's so many things that i could add to this list but I'm going to end it here or it will go on forever. I hope you've enjoyed this post!

October Playlist

October Playlist

Hey Whisperers,

If you've been reading mu blog for awhile you'll know that i adore music. I listen to it constantly and it's pretty much one of the biggest focuses in my life. Over the past few weeks I've fallen head over heels in love with some amazing music and while thinking of blog posts to write for this week i sat listening to my current playlist and i thought I'd make this Tuesdays post all about it. I keep saying that I'm going to include music more in my blog as i do pretty much spend any spare moment of my time listening to it so if you have any suggestions on what i can do to incorporate more music into my blog please let me know! But for now lets just get into my October Playlist.

October Playlist

Now i do have this playlist on my Spotify (here) but in this post i thought i would instead embed the videos but feel free to head over to my Spotify to listen to these songs instead.

Not My Ex
Jessie J

Oh my god this song. I saw this video in my suggested bar on YouTube and i had to click it. I've always been a huge fan of Jessie J's music but there is just something about how raw this video is that made me love her even more. This song is honestly just so down to earth and open. After listening to the song i couldn't help but add it to my playlist. Reading the comments on the video i learnt that she pretty much got ready sat in her room and recorded the video all in one take on her own and i just love it. It's not often that artists show the real them and i think that this video shows Jessie doing just that and i honestly just found it so beautiful.

New Rules
Dua Lipa

This song is just one of them songs at the minute, every ones loving it and covering it on YouTube but nobody can beat the original. I first heard this song through Samantha Harvey's cover on YouTube, which is absolutely incredible, and I've loved it ever since. There's just something about it that just makes you just want to get up,dance and smile.

Too Good At Goodbyes
Sam Smith

If you haven't heard this song yet you've seriously been missing out! Sam Smith is just one of those artists that just know how to hit you right in your heart with every single song they write. I am in constant awe of his voice it's angelic i love it. I've loved Sam Smith's music since i first heard Lay Me Down and every time he releases a new song he just seems to get better and better it's incredible.

Beautiful Trauma
P!NK

Who doesn't love P!NK like seriously she's incredible. There's something so different about P!NK's voice that i absolutely love. I first heard this song in her live performance on SNL that was in my suggested bar on YouTube and i instantly fell in love, i just love how much fun she had performing it and i don't know i just fell in love. I have also kinda been obsessed with P!NK's VMA performance too but obviously that isn't something i can't add to my playlist, believe me if i could i would.

Reggaeton Lento
CNTO ft Little Mix

If you know me you know that i love Little Mix and this song is no different, it definitely gives me despacito vibes but personally i think its 10x better (kinda biased but yanoooo). I did stay up till Midnight to see the video and it was 100% it's just so fun and flirty. I did also see them perform it live last weekend and let me tell you their vocals live are even more incredible than they are on their albums. I definitely think that seeing them live made me love the song even more but honestly it's such a fun song anyway that it's pretty hard not to love.

I kinda wish that i had some more Halloween songs on my playlist but honestly i haven't found anything Halloween themed that i like this year! I hope you've enjoyed listening to my October playlist!

Do you have a favourite song at the minute?
If so let me know in the comments down below!

How I Edit My Blog Photos For Free

14:19:00 8
How I Edit My Blog Photos For Free

Hey Whisperers,

When i started blogging i had no clue how much editing my pictures would affect the quality of not only my posts but my overall blog. My images are by no means incredible, but i quite like how they look. When it comes to my blog i do keep things pretty simple with my pictures but i thought that this post would be a helpful one if you're just starting out and need some tips so i hope you enjoy!

How I Edit My Blog Photos

First things first is what i use to take my photos, i use my I Phone 6, it isn't the most incredible camera quality but for the budget that i have it works pretty well. I use natural lighting to take my photos too which isn't always the best especially during this time of the year. I use 2 different 'apps' to edit my pictures, the first is just the normal Windows Editor and the next is IPiccy.com an online website, each one does different things and i use them both equally. Both apps are completley free and work amazingly. IPiccy does restrict some tools on the website if you aren't a member but if you join up you get all of the tools and it's still 100% free!

Original Photo

Mascara:

I know this sounds strange but believe me it works. On IPiccy there is a 'beautify' option to add and enhance your makeup, every time i edit a picture i use this section so much. The first thing i use is the mascara tool, i use it on any text in the image and anything that i want to stand out, it pretty much just intensifies the text and makes it stand out more, which you definitely need when taking product pictures.

Teeth Whitening:

Another beauty tool that i use a lot is the Teeth Whitening tool, i use this tool to help whiten any dark background colours and to also make any white product labels to stand out. It doesn't always create a huge difference but it does look a lot better at the end.

Lip Colour:

I then move on to the Lip Colour tool, i love using this tool to make the colours pop more. In this image i used it on the green and pink stripes on the pencil and the mustard on the body scrub. It just adds that little extra to any picture, we all know pictures rarely portray the accurate colour of a product so this tool helps that so much.

Colour:

Even though i added extra colour using the lip tool i do like to also enhance the overall colour using the Windows edit option. I pretty much set it to the top setting every time i use it as it just makes everything in the image 10x more vibrant and makes it look incredible.

Brightness:

Using the edit option on Windows I go into the Light and Contrast tab and i increase the brightness. I usually keep it pretty low when brightening  my pictures as I've found that taking it too far just washes out the whole image. For me brightening my pictures is a big part of editing them as even with great natural lighting they're never bright enough. It is super easy to take it too far so i always prefer going little by little as you can come back later and increase it.

Before And After

My editing skills aren't the most incredible but i do spend quite a lot of time editing my pictures and i love reading post on how people edit their pictures. Being on a low budget using these 'apps' has been amazing for me. I know that sometimes being on a budget makes blogging hard but these 'apps' help make editing pictures 100x easier.

I hope that this post has helped you when it comes to editing your pictures!

Irresistible Beauty Pink Clay Face Mask Review

13:30:00 2
Irresistible Beauty Pink Clay Face Mask Review

Hey Whisperers,

If you've been reading my blog for a while you'll know that one of my all time favourite stores is TKMaxx and that one of my all time favourite products to buy is face masks. So when we put the two together I'm pretty much as happy as can be. Yesterday while shopping in TKMaxx i came across a face mask from a brand that i haven't really heard of before and it sounded super interested and of course i thought i could do a post on it. So here we are. I'm super excited to try out this mask so lets get into the post!

Irresistible Beauty Pink Clay Face Mask Review

What It Claims To Do

I didn't really look much at what the face mask was meant to do in the store i just saw that it was a mix yourself kind of deal and wanted to get it. There were a few other kinds of these face masks in the store one of which was a turmeric one, which I'm going to look for when i go out tomorrow because I'm super interested in trying it. This mask however is a Pink Clay mask that aims to moisturise and soften your skin, which i seriously need at the minute as my skin seems to be all over the place. I did try to find a link to this product online but i can't find it anywhere but hopefully they've stocked it in a few TKMaxx stores.

How Much Did It Cost

For this pouch it cost me £4.99 which honestly isn't bad for it's size. In this little baggy you get 130g of product and they suggest using 1/2 a tablespoon per mask so working it out as 15g per tablespoon, that makes around 16 masks per packet which is pretty amazing for the price. The packet pretty much feels like a brick when you pick it up because it is literally full of product which i love. For the price and their 'recommended' use i think that it's a great price.

Mask Time

First things first, I'm not going to lie i was super disappointed that the mask wasn't more pink, in the pictures it looks more pink than it was in person, in person it kinda looked like I'd put porridge/oatmeal all over my face which kinda sucks, it also kinda smelt like porridge too which wasn't the best. Now i did slip with the powder when measuring it so i ended up using around 1 tablespoon and this was the amount of mask i was left with. On the directions it says;

" Pour 1/2 Tablespoon of powder into your hand, add water and mix until powder becomes a paste. Apply on face and leave on for up to five minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water "

Apart from the slipping with the powder and mixing it in a pot i basically followed the rules but i kid you not trying to apply this mask to my face was impossible, every time i attempted to put it on my skin it just fell off because it was such a thick paste. I added a little more water and made it into more of a cake batter kind of mixture and applied it to the face like that instead. I didn't really watch the clock when it came to having it on i pretty much just left it to try and washed it off. Surprisingly it did wash off quite easily and because it is so 'sand-like' it  exfoliated my skin as i washed it off, so i definitely don't recommend exfoliating before applying the mask. After washing it off my face felt so smooth and tight it was so nice.

Overall Thoughts

For £4.99 I'd definitely get this mask again. It exfoliated, moisturised and tightened my skin and it's left it feeling amazing. I have super sensitive skin when it comes to face masks but this one didn't tingle, sting or have any kind of negative effects on my skin at all so if you're a sensitive skin kinda gal like me you should be OK to use it. Like i previously said i did try to find this mask online to link it but i couldn't find it anywhere so if you do want to try it, I'd suggest popping into your local TKMaxx and seeing if they have any in.

Do you have a favourite face mask?
If so let me know in the comments below!

I hope you've enjoyed today's post.

Love Always,
Soph

The Sunshine Blogger Tag

The Sunshine Blogger Tag

Hey Whisperers,

I was recently tagged by Leah over at The Prescott Family Blog to do the sunshine blogger tag. I know that I've been doing a few of these recently but i couldn't not answer these questions after seeing them on Leah's blog so i hope you enjoy the post!

The Sunshine Blogger Tag

The Rules-

1. Recognise the blogger that tagged you
2. Answer the 11 Questions left for you
3. Nominate 11 other bloggers
4. Give them 11 Questions to answer
-------

Leah's questions!

Who is someone who changed your life in positive way and how?

My best friend Natalie. No matter what she's had my back, even from half a country away. She's stopped me doing a lot of stupid stuff over the years and I'm pretty sure i wouldn't be who i am without her. She taught me to take risks and live in the moment without her by my side I'd probably still be locked away in a little turtle shell.

What is your favourite Disney movie and why?

If we're talking regular, Lion King, because well Lion King. But if we're talking Princess movies Beauty and The Beast. I completely love how independent and stubborn Belle is she doesn't care what other people say she stands up for what she believes in and she's not afraid to be different, and i mean come on a princess who reads as much as i do...she's obvs going to be my fave.

What is the first childhood memory that pops into your head?

Ok so my Granddad used to be a delivery driver and i remember as a kid me and my sister always used to fight over being able to go on trips with him. We never went far, but it was always cool being able to sit in the front seat and drive for miles at a time. We also used to stay at our other Nan's most Fridays and she would make the best mashed potato (which i still ask her to make to this day) and we'd spend the night singing Disney songs, it was pretty fab if i say so myself.

If you had £1,000,000 what would you do with it?

First off I'd buy a house and fully decorate it, I can't wait to move out and i obviously don't have money in real life to move out yet. After moving out I'd pay for an intense driving course and get a White Land-rover Discovery. I'd also adopt a bunch of dogs because I'd be able to afford to not only adopt them but spoil them rotten too. With the rest of the money I'd probably spend it on my friends and family, buy makeup and put the rest into a savings account.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

I hope I'm happy, I'm happy now but i want that kind of I'm happy with where my life is going kind of happy. In 5 years I'll be 25 so hopefully I'm in a healthy relationship, either married or engaged, in my own home and definitely at a new job.

Do appearances play some importance to you?

In some ways yes, i think anyone who says no is lying. Everyone subconsciously judges people on their appearance whether they act on it or not is a different thing. When it comes to relationships in a way i think

What was the last text message you received?

The last text message i received was from a random phone number saying it was a Final Request from the DVLA in Swansea about a claim I'd made.....i don't drive and i live nowhere near Swansea sooooo that was deleted ASAP.

Where would you like to visit the most in the world?

Africa. I've always wanted to go on an African safari, i used to obsess over the show Wild At Heart when i was younger. If i couldn't go to Africa I'd love to go to America and visit every state i just think it would be a super cool trip.

What is the best holiday you have ever been on and why?

A few years ago i went to Cornwall (like i do every year) but it was just such a fun and special holiday to me. It was probably the best holiday I've ever been on it was just the most amazing break from my normal life and i wish i could relive it.

Are you missing anyone right now?

I don't think so. Everyone i need I'm in contact with and talk to daily. I do wish my best friends lived closer and i guess i miss having them around but i don't miss them because i talk to them daily so no i don't miss anyone right now.

What are your top 3 baby girl and top 3 baby boy names?

This is my favourite question out of all of these. I've had my baby names picked for awhile so this one was so easy for me . Top 3 Girls ; Aubree-Mai , Kinnley-Jane, Isla Top 3 Boys; Finnely-Jay, Carter-James, Ellison

Who I Tag;

Georgia's Beauty Box
AndHonestly
An Ocean Glimmer
The Hels Project
Jess Heard
Womanish Affairs
Chloe Alice Lily
Holzie Loves
Becca Jayne
Dolly Rockin Beauty
The Style Compulshion

My 11 Questions;

If you could have any job in the world what would it be?
What is your favourite quote and why?
If you could trade lives with one person for a week who would you pick?
What is one thing you regret not doing?

Birchbox Unboxing - October 2017

Hey Whisperers,

It's been a while since I've posted, with life and work building i kind of went into a funk and honestly blogging was the last thing on my mind. I love this blog but at the same time I'm not going to beat myself up if i miss a few posts because sometimes i really just don't have the time to sit down and post, it sucks and i hate not posting but sometimes i just need to take a break and clear my mind. I am back now and i can't wait to get stuck into posts, starting with one of my favourite posts to write, my birchbox unboxings! I'm still not sure if I'm going to keep my Birchbox subscription in the new year as i do want to try something else out but i am going to be keeping it until at least January, so lets get into this months box!!

Birchbox Unboxing - October 2017

What Is Birchbox

If you're new to Birchbox, Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that you receive each month with 5 products to try out. The products can range from sample size to full size and they also range in price. All products in the box can be found on the Birchbox website where the box is purchased for £12.95 each month.

Model Co Contour Stick
RRP £8

I was quite excited when i saw this product in my box, I'm not a big fan of cream contour as i can't seem to get it right but i do want to try it out more. Now I'm not too sure how well this product is going to be as it is quite warm toned and I'm pretty much a ghost but even if it doesn't work as a contour it will work as a base for my bronzer. I have swatched it and it does seem to be a super sheer product, but hopefully it will build up well.

EcoTools Colour Correcting Minis
Full Size RRP £6.70

These are by far my favourite product that I've received this month. They're super soft, super squidgy and they're so freaking cute. I love my real techniques sponges and i know that I'm going to love these too. I do struggle with Acne so i think that these will be perfect to use when I'm trying to cover up my breakouts. I'm definitely going to be using these a lot.

Porefessional Pearl Primer
RRP £26

I love the regular Porefessional Primer so I'm just as excited to try out this one. I'm hoping that this primer works well as most other illuminating primers that i have tried just make my pores look huge. I do with the same size was a little bigger but it is a higher end product so i do get why it is so small. Something that do find quite cool about this is that it doesn't actually launch until December, so unfortunately i can't link you to it. I haven't yet received a product that hasn't launched so i do think that this is a cool thing to receive.

Grab Your Melons Shower Gel
Full Size - RRP £1.50

This shower gel smells amazing, as the name says it has a super strong melon smell. Now although full size this is quite a small shower gel. I'm not sure how much I'm going to love it as it is a super strong scent, which although i love, is a little too strong. I'm going to try it out but i do think that it's going to be one of those products that i don't end up fully using.

Balance Me Pure Skin Facewash
RRP £16

I have so many face wash samples it's insane so i wasn't to excited to see this one in my birchbox. One thing i do love about this product is that it's 99% natural, i have quite sensitive skin so natural face washes are always a good thing. The same is also quite a decent size compared to other samples I've received. It's definitely a herbal smelling face wash which isn't my favourite but it isn't too bad. I'm going to try it out and hopefully it will help clear my skin.

This Months Total RRP

£58.70

This months Birchbox was a collaboration with the charity CoppaFeel a charity that raises awareness for Breast Cancer, a illness that is very close to my heart. In each box you received a reminder card and a sticker to remind you to 'Coppafeel' when in the shower to check your breasts. I know that talking about this kind of stuff is taboo but it is such an important thing to not only check but also talk about it, so many people have no idea what the signs of breast cancer are or even what the illness entails so i am definitely going to be keeping these around so that i remember to check and i hope that now i have shown you this that you remember and spread the word too.

Overall I'm quite happy with this months box, I'm super excited to try out the Ecotools sponges and the Porefessionals primer. It is one of the better boxes that I've received over the past few months so I'm quite happy with it. I do however wish that there were more of a variety of products instead of sending the same few things each month just different brands.

f you want to try out Birchbox feel free to use my link to get £5 off your first box making it just £7.95!

I hope you've enjoyed this months unboxing!
