YouTube Me Buy It Tag

Hey Whisperers,

I've seen this tag making it's rounds the past few weeks and I've loved watching peoples videos on it, so i thought I'd look through my collection and see if there was anything YouTube made me buy. At first i didn't think there would be much but there was so i though I'd share it with you guys sooo lets get into the post!

YouTube Made Me Buy It

Now this foundation was pretty much everywhere on YouTube a few years ago. From Zoella to Tanya Burr pretty much all the British beauty channels where trying it out so of course i wanted to too. I had such high hopes for this foundation because it did look amazing on everyone, but i hated it. It is so thick and it has such a strange smell. Something else i hated about this foundation was the shades, I brought the lightest shade and as you can see in the picture it's pretty much 10 times too dark for my pale as heck skin.

This concealer is pretty much a favourite of most British beauty You Tubers. I first saw it on Zoella's channel and then it was pretty much everywhere i looked. If you've been here for awhile you'll know i absolutely love this concealer, it is my favourite one ever and i use it everyday. I've heard that it's a dupe for the Nars concealer but i haven't tried that one out and considering people are saying it's a close dupe i don't really see the point in trying it when this one is so good.

These colour tattoo's have been hyped up so much and yet i didn't get them until a few months ago. They come in a range of colours and they're gorgeous. I had really high expectations for these and with people saying they were just as good as the Mac paint pots i couldn't not get them.

I've wanted the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes for so long so when i heard these palettes were a dupe i couldn't not get one. I fell in love with this palette as soon as i saw it, it is beautiful. I have been using this palette pretty much every day since i reviewed it a few months ago (read that review here) and it's still one of my favourite palettes.

I'm pretty sure every Beauty Guru has used this in one of their videos, so when i saw it in the benefit gift set last year i thought I'd try it out. I was so disappointed. I was expecting these big, voluminous lashes and honestly they looked exactly the same as they did when i used the £2 mascara from primark. I don't know if it is just my lashes or if the product honestly isn't worth the hype but i was so disappointed.

These highlighters are everywhere. I, like everyone else, fell in love with highlighting so when i saw this on peoples videos i knew i wanted to try it out. I was going to get Soft and Gentle which is the most popular skin finish but they only had this in stock. I'm glad i got Lightscapade because it is honestly beautiful, it works so well with my pale ass skin.

Let's be honest these things are pretty much in the back of every beauty guru's video. I had been into the shop and swatched them on multiple occasions but when i saw this shade i knew i had to get it. The Mac Lipsticks are insanely pigmented and they do feel amazing on the lips but at the same time i don't think that it's necessary to go out and buy 20+ shades.

As you all know I'm a huge nude fan so when i saw Kylie was releasing a range of nude glosses i knew i had to get some. Now the whole process to get these was insane (read my post on that here) but i do think the products are worth it. This gloss is amazingly pigmented and the longevity of it is so worth price. The other shades in these glosses are also incredible so i highly recommend checking them out.

And those were all of my YouTube made me buy it products! I tried to include one from all areas of my makeup so i hope you enjoyed it!

Has YouTube made you buy any products? If so let me know what ones in the comments down below

My Goals

This Time Next Year: I will have my own blog Domain

I have been looking into this for a few weeks now and it's just something i really want to. I just feel like having my own domain will not only make my blog easier to find but will also help it look more professional. Obviously you don't have to have your own blog domain for it to be professional i just think that it helps.

This Time Next Year: I will have at least 1 tattoo

I've wanted a tattoo for years now but i just haven't found the perfect design yet. I know so many people who say they regret their tattoo's and i never want to regret any of mine so hopefully by this time next year  i will have found and had my tattoo!

This Time Next Year: I will have hit 20,000 blog views

I've worked so hard on my blog over the past 9 months and I'm so close to 10,000 views ( my goal for 2016) so I'm hoping by this time next year I'll be on 20,000.

This Time Next Year: I will have a full time job

I currently work part time so hopefully by this time next year i will have a full time job and if not I'll be at university.  I like the job i have i just think there is so much more out there for me to do than work 16 hours a week and staying in bed will 11 am.  I want to get out there and see the world and do something different.

This Time Next Year: I will be learning to/ be driving

This year my sister passed her driving lesson and ever since she passed she's been able to go whenever she needs. I would love that. I'm hopefully going to start my driving lessons in the new year and i hope to have passed by December. I am so scared of learning to drive but i know that once I've had a few lessons I'll be fine, it's just a matter of getting my arse into gear and booking my lessons.

Song of The Week #18

Hey Whisperers,

This weeks song of the week is going to be a little different, this past week i haven't really listened to one particular song so i thought i would share an album with you instead! I hope you enjoy

THIS WEEKS song album OF THE WEEK IS the angus thongs and perfect snogging soundtrack

I've pretty much always loved this film. It's the typical teenage chic flick but there's just something about it that i can't help but love. The soundtrack to this film is just so upbeat and fun that it's such a addicting soundtrack to listen too. Every time I watch the film i can't help but sing along with the sound track it's just so catchy.

If you haven't heard of Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging then you're probably totally confused right now. Angus Thongs and Perfect Snogging is a film about a teenage girl, Georgia and her life from learning how to snog, to trying to throw the party of the year and then of course the whole meeting of the love of her life, it's a hilarious film.

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks Song Album of The Week! I know it's a little different to normal but this album is pretty much all I've been listening too!!

Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette- Swatches and Review

Hey Whisperers,

A few weeks ago i was in Boots and i finally got my hands on the Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette that I've been wanting to try for ages. I'm pretty sure I'm 100 years late to be writing this review but i thought I'd do it anyway just in case some of you haven't had a chance to try it out and see it in person! I put this palette in my top drugstore highlighters post (here) so you probably already know my thoughts about it but i thought i'd go more in detail in a separate post for you guys! I hope you enjoy!!

Packaging

I am in love with this packaging, it's so beautiful and elegant. The packaging of this palette is all reflective gold and although it is very lightweight it feels like such good quality.  Each of the four highlighters are split into four identically sized pans inside the palette with a mirror on the inside. I love the fact that this is a reflective palette because the outside doubles as a mirror so you can always use it as a small mirror when travelling.

Swatches & Review

In the palette you get three powder highlights and a cream highlight, for £9.99 which is a great price for a palette of this quality. I had heard prior to buying this product that the shades were pigmented but i didn't expect them to be this amazing Each shade is just as incredible as the last, the palette is pretty much a beauty girls dream.

Shade By Shade

Subsolar-

Subsolar is the lightest shade in the palette and it is absolutely beautiful, it's a gorgeous pale yellow shade that gives off a silver glow when applied to the cheeks. This shade is probably my most used shade in the palette because it gives such a good glow without looking weird on my pale skin.

Equinox-

Equinox is a beautiful rose gold shade and it is perfect. This shade is probably the most wearable shade in the palette. It looks amazing with a bronzed look and blends out perfectly. This shade is also one of the most pigmented in the palette so you only need a small amount to achieve the perfect instagram worthy glow.

Hemisphere-

When i first got this palette i never thought i'd use this shade but it's quickly become my most used shade. Hemisphere is a beautiful lilac shade and oh my god is it bright. I don't use this shade on the cheekbones much because it is very strong, however i do use it almost daily as an inner corner highlight. I saw NikkieTutorials do this in her recent collaboration with Jeffrey Star and Manny MUA so i had to give it a go and i love it.

Ecliptic-

I've never tried out a cream highlighter before so when it came to trying out Ecliptic i wasn't quite sure what to expect but this shade is beautiful. When you look at it in the pan it looks quite dark but when swatched it's the perfect bronze shade, the cream blends out amazingly and it sets into place so well (it took some scrubbing to get the swatch off my arm).

Overall Thoughts

I had high hopes for this palette after seeing it all over instagram, twitter and You Tube and my hopes have definitely been met. The shades in this palette are absolutely beautiful and they look amazing on the skin. I definitely recommend trying out this palette if you can get your hands on it because it is definitely worth it!

Interview Tips And Tricks

Hey Whisperers,

Over the past few months I've seen quite a few posts going around twitter about people's first jobs. What they did, what they liked, what they disliked etc, but something that most of the post's I've read have been missing is how they got the job and the interview process. Now i know when i was younger (totally made myself sound hella old there) I had no clue about interviews, I didn't know what to wear, what to say, what to take. So as you can imagine my first job interview was probably the most uncomfortable interview ever. I was so embarrassed, so today i thought i would give you some interview tips and tricks to either help you feel more prepared for an upcoming interview or to just prepare you for what's to come!

My First Interview

Ok so as i said my first interview was.. uncomfortable to say the least. The first job i ever applied for was a Christmas job at Argos, a few weeks after I'd turned 16. I got called and was invited back for an interview, however when i turned up there was a large group of us, it wasn't the kind of interview i had been thinking, instead it was group interview. In the interview we were told about the job, the company and we also completed a range of activities. Now this is where things got weird. One of the activities was to work in a group, build a bridge out of Lego and have a member of the group go under it, i don't know what this had to do with the job but of course we all did it and probably looked like idiots while doing it too. We then had to write down numbers and see how fast we could complete the list and then we had to do some maths. Looking back now it was quite a strange interview, and although i didn't get the job I'm glad i went through that process because at least now i know what can happen in an interview.

Interview Tips And Tricks

Now obviously I've been and had other interviews since that one 3 years ago and those were very different experiences and luckily ended in jobs so here are my tips and tricks for interviews.

1. Be you- One of the biggest things that I've noticed people doing during the interview process is being fake. It is so easy to pretend to be this completely different person during an interview, putting on a front is easy but you have to remember that when/if you get the job you're not going to be able to keep up that front forever. This goes for CV's too, don't lie because you'll always get caught out, whether it means you being asked questions about something you wrote or whether you're asked later on you will more than likely get caught out and honestly it just isn't worth the risk especially if you really need the job.

2. Be confident- Now i know this isn't easy, but employers love when people are confident because it shows that you are ready and willing to work. However, don't go into the interview being cocky, there is a big difference between being confident and being cocky and in this situation it is pretty much the same as getting the job and not getting the job.

3. Be prepared- Nothing is worse than going into an interview unprepared. One of the best things to do is researching the job online, see what kind of things you'll be doing, the qualifications you need etc. There are a lot of videos online from people who have been to interviews at specific companies so check on You Tube to see if anyone has  been for an interview at the company, this way you'll know what to expect.

4- Don't freak out- One thing i discovered at my second interview. is that not all of the people who interview you will be sympathetic towards you if you are nervous. Some interviewers will be straight to the point, harsh with their comebacks and honestly won't make the  process very easy but one of the worst things you can do is freak out. Just stay calm and remember that they are just either trying to see how you handle pressure or that they really are just a grumpy arse hole (hopefully the first one).

5-Go through your CV- If you are anything like me, you wrote your CV, printed it and never really looked at it again until you handed it out, but knowing about it is a must. Go through your CV and familiarise yourself with everything, that way when you're asked questions about it your mind won't be blank.

6-Do mock interviews- Now i know this sounds stupid but if you haven't had an interview before or you just want to practise have a friend or family member interview you. This way you'll be used to being asked questions and you won't feel so uncomfortable in your actual interview.

7- Dress smart- Whether your interview is for a huge company or tiny shop always dress smart because appearances have a big impact on how employers view you. Dressing in casual clothing makes it seem as if you don't care and that you don't really want the job. Instead dress smart, trousers/skirts and a nice top are always an easy option for interviews.

8-Where to go- If your interview isn't local do a practise run before your interview. Whether you drive or get get the bus etc travel to where your interview is, look where you're going to have to walk from/park and time yourself this way you'll know what time to set off. Also remember the time of your interview if it is in a busy location and allocate time to traffic. I normally try and get to the interview around 10 minutes early just so i know I'm not late and so i can settle down before my interview.

9-Documents- Always remember to take  your documents. For me i find it pretty easy because i keep all of mine in a folder i was given when i left college, however if you don't have one i would either suggest keeping them in a folder or a poly pocket just so they are all together. Some things i suggest taking- your CV , certificates, any references you have (i suggest getting at least one) and either a list of questions or a plain notebook to note things down in.

10-Believe in yourself- It is so easy to put yourself down when it comes to interviews, but if it is something you really want to do and think you can do believe in yourself and work your ass off to get there because you are 100% worth it.

11- What kind of interview is it- Always find out what kind of interview it is, this way, unlike me, you won't be shocked when you turn up and see 20 other people ready to take part in the interview. Always ask on the phone when they call you if it is a 1 on 1 interview or a group interview.

12- They will ask to do things- Most places will want you to show that you can do something for example, in my Argos interview they wanted us to do maths and in another interview i went to i had to sell a product. Be prepared for tasks like this.

And that's pretty much it! I know that going to any kind of interview is scary but it honestly doesn't have to be too scary as long as you prepare and research before hand! I hope this post has helped with any worries you had and if you do have an interview coming up believe in yourself and good luck!!

Song of The Week #17

Hey Whisperers,

It's that time of week again, where i share another song with you. But before i do that i just want to say a quick thank you to you all. This week i hit 300 followers on twitter and my blog hit 7000 views. Like what. I work so hard on my blog and i love it so much and it's just so weird to see the numbers going up each day, so i just wanted to say thank you for reading my posts and coming to my little corner of the Internet.

THIS WEEKS SONG OF THE WEEK IS OCEANS (WHERE MY FEET MAY FAIL) COVER BY NIKKI PHILLIPI, KYLAN ROAD AND RACHEL TALBOTT

I first heard this cover a few months ago and i loved it, but as usual i found other songs, fell in love with them and i lost this song. However, this week this came up on my feed and i couldn't help but listen to it and since then it's been one of my most played songs this week.

Now i know this song is a cover but i can't help but love how upbeat and raw this video is. I've been following Nikki Phillipi on YouTube for awhile now and her content is amazing and her voice is incredible. I am not religious which most of you know but there is just something about this song that i can't help but love.

Obviously, there is a reason behind this song being chosen and if you watch to the end of the video you'll see it. I know this video is almost a year old but that doesn't mean that you can't donate, you can. Human trafficking is still a huge problem and no person should have to go through some of the things that these young people have to go through. Being abducted, sold, being used for sex. None of it is ok, but unfortunately this is the harsh reality of the world that we live in. But this charity helps. They don't gloss over the issue, they don't see it and carry on without doing anything. They help. They created a centre to help people, now I know that not everybody can donate but if you can please do because this is an amazing cause and each penny counts.

I hope that you've enjoyed this weeks Song of The Week and please donate to this amazing cause!

BeautyBay Haul - Morphe Brushes

Hey Whisperers,

So quite a while ago now i ordered some Morphe products from BeautyBay.com  I wasn't sure whether i was going to do a haul on them, so i put a poll up on twitter and you guys seemed to want to see them so today I'm going to do a quick post on what i got in my order and how i feel about the products now I've had a chance to use them!

Brushes

From Left to Right

I've had these brushes now for around a month and i have still to use this brush. It is quite thin and for me it doesn't really do much when it comes to blending.

This brush is definitely one of my more used brushes out of the ones i got. It is perfect for blending out the crease and it's great for packing on colour.

Considering the fact that this is a lip brush I've never used it for my lips. I love using this brush to add shadow to the inner third of my eye because it is such a perfect size and it packs on a lot of colour.

This is 100% my favourite blending brush of all time. It makes blending out shadows so easy and effortless. It is the perfect size for blending the crease and it's pretty much perfect.

Like the lip brush i love using this brush for my inner corner and lower lash line. It is the perfect size for adding a bit of shadow on the lash line without adding too much and it's a great tapered shape which makes it so easy to use.

Eyeshadows

Coal

Coal is pretty much your standard black eyeshadow. I do love this shadow because although it is pigmented it isn't too strong so it's still easy to blend and build on. However when i looked online to get a link for this it was no longer on the website so i think it may have been discontinued.

I absolutely love this shadow. I use it a lot for more dark and grungy looks by using it all over the lid and blending it out with a brown shade. It has amazing pigment and is a perfect shade for fall.

Let's Talk Money

I was always wary about looking up Morphe products because i always thought they were going to be expensive but when i saw these on beauty bay i was so shocked. All of what i got in today's post came to just under £20 at £19.30. Delivery is also free on Beauty Bay once you spend £15 so my delivery was free, which is always a positive.

Individual Prices-

M429 Duo Deluxe Crease Brush
£4.50

 M139 Tapered Crease Blending Brush
£2.95

 MB17 Flat Blender Brush
£2.95

MB19 Oval Lip Brush
£1.95

MB26 Small Detail Brush
£1.95

 Eyeshadow Coal
£2.50

 Eyeshadow Royalty
£2.50

Altogether i am pretty happy with how much i got for my money! The quality of all of the products is amazing and I'm definitely going to be ordering more Morphe products soon. I think that they're amazing quality and are an amazing affordable option if you're looking for some new brushes. If you're thinking about trying out any of these brushes or you have any brush suggestions for me let me know down below down in the comments below!!

Academy Of Colour Matte Liquid Lips - Product Review

Hey Whisperers,

So the other day while i was shopping in my local supermarket, i came across these lip kits. I don't know what it was about these lip kits but i had to get them. So today, like always, i thought i would do a quick review on these products for you!!

What I Got & Packaging

The lip kits i am talking about is the Academy of Colour Matte Liquid Lips, Lip Kits (long name there). Each lip kit comes with a lip liner and a liquid lipstick for £2 which is incredible, making each product £1.

The packaging of these products is pretty simple yet i kinda love it. Each kit comes in a rectangular box with a plastic insert and reflective sheet. The products themselves are also pretty simple with the lipsticks being packaged in a clear tube with a black lid and the lip liners in a black pencil with the corresponding colour on the bottom. I do think the packaging is a bit simple but for such affordable products i can't really complain.

Swatches

The lip kits i got don't have shade names so naturally, I've decided to come up with my own. The first shade is a brown nude which i am going to call Nudity. Now Nudity, is probably my favourite of the two kits, it is the perfect brown shade for this time of year and it is insanely pigmented. The lip liner in the kit is darker than the lipstick however, i quite like this as it helps to create a defined lip line which i love. Both the liner and lipstick are incredibly creamy and have a lovely vanilla smell.

Next up is the pink shade which I've decided to call Princess Peach. Princess Peach is pretty much a 'my lip colour but better' kind of shade for me and i love it. Just like Nudity both the lip liner and lipstick are insanely pigmented and creamy and of course it also smells like Vanilla. Both lipsticks also dry very fast which can be both a positive and negative as it means they're quick and easy to apply but if you make a mistake you don't have much time to fix it.

One of my favourite things about both of these kits is how they feel and the longevity of them both. I can apply the lipstick, eat, drink and talk and it doesn't  really come off. Now of course some of it wears off a bit over the course of the day but for £2 it has a great lasting time. Like i said i do also love the feel, I've tried so many matte lipsticks that feel sticky and drying on the lips, but these are the complete opposite. First of all they feel as if you have nothing on your lips, which for me is probably a first when it comes to lip products I've tried. They also don't dry your lips out, which if you're a matte lip kinda girl like me, you know is hard to find.

Overall Thoughts

Overall, i  really do love these lip kits and for the price i do think that they're incredible for the small price of just £2. Both colours are insanely beautiful and very pigmented and i am honestly in love with them both. If you want to try these i found mine in the Christmas aisle at my local Morrison's. They do also sell this brand at Debenhams however looking on the website they don't sell this specific product, but they do sell larger kits which have a lipstick, liquid lipstick, lip gloss, lip gloss crayon and a lip pencil for £8.00 so the link to those is here

I hope you've enjoyed this post! If you have tried anything from Academy of Colour let me know in the comments below!

Song of The Week #16

Hey Whisperers,

First of all, how have I been doing these Song of The Week posts for 4 months.... how. I've absolutely loved each one and i can't wait to continue, i love sharing my love for music with you guys. I know they aren't my most popular posts and that's fine but i do love them so they're still going to be a weekly thing.

This weeks song is pretty much everywhere at the moment and although it has been out for a little while now i still find myself obsessed with it so i couldn't help putting it in this weeks SOTW.

THIS WEEKS SONG OF THE WEEK IS Starving BY Hailee Steinfeld, Grey Ft Zedd

Between Hailee's incredible voice and the catchy lyrics this song is pretty hard not to like. Something i love about this song is how it develops, it goes from such a calm song to upbeat and catchy so fast and then straight back to calm. I know the lyrics to the song are more on the risque side, but it is a great song and even though it's risque i don't think it's over the top or inappropriate.

Honestly, I didn't really know Hailee Steinfeld too much before Pitch Perfect, obviously i saw her in the Taylor Swift Bad Blood video but i never really knew much about her apart from the fact that she was part of 'The Squad' ,but after Pitch Perfect i loved her in interviews and her care free personality. Watching videos and interviews she does seem to be a very funny girl which is always fun to see in a celebrity instead of the normal cookie cutter, girl.

I have become a huge fan of pretty much, all of Hailee's songs with them quickly becoming my most played songs on spotify. All of her music is catchy, quirky and is pretty much just the fun type of music you can have a sing and dance with when you want to.

Right now i can't stop playing this song and i hope you like it too!

Birchbox Unboxing- November 2016

Hey Whisperers,

I'm back again with another Birchbox unboxing. This month's box isn't one of the best that I've received but I'm still pretty excited about a few of the products so let's get into it.

This month's box as you can see from the front is sponsored by Tatler Magazine, I'm not sure if they chose the products this month or if they just sponsored the box but i LOVE the design. If this is the first time you've heard of Birchbox you're probably a little confused right now, so let me just explain to you what birch box is. Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that costs £12.95 a month, where you receive 5+ beauty, skincare or hair care items. The items can be sample sized or full size and each month they get delivered right to your door.

What I Got In My Box

Full Size RRP- £15.00

When i first saw this product i was really excited, I've seen the OCC Lip Tars everywhere and I've been wanting to try them for awhile but then i saw that this was a primer and i was a little disappointed. However my hopes were still high because it did say in the booklet that you get that it can be used with all lipsticks to help add to the longevity of them and can also help make them more pigmented. Now, I was a little annoyed with this product because of it's size. This little tube is 0.08fl oz. Yup that small. For a box that normally has quite good sample sizes i was quite disappointed at the size of this i mean it isn't even 0.1fl oz never mind 1fl oz. The product itself is quite good and i do like it, the sample size however made this more disappointing than exciting.

I tried this product out pretty much as soon as i got it out of the box. Recently my skin has been so dry and calling out for some TLC and this moisturiser is the answer. If you've read any of my other posts you'll know i received a NUXE product a few months ago which was also a moisturiser, so i am familiar to the brand. This moisturiser is quite a thick moisturiser but it absorbs into the skin amazingly and I'm in love with it. It doesn't really have a strong fragrance which i like and it's pretty much a simple moisturiser. It does say that it is anti-fatigue, which honestly I don't really understand but hey it can only be a positive right?

Full Size RRP- £18.50

First of all can i just say this product smells incredible! This leave in conditioner is by a brand i have heard of before and it looks incredible. Like i've said in previous posts i do have quite damaged, coloured hair so i do have to be careful what products i use on it, however i have been told that i can use this by my hairdresser. The sample size you get is amazing and the packaging is beautiful. If leave in conditioners aren't your thing and you want to try out something different from this brand i highly suggest using the Beauty Protector Protect and Oil which is amazing. You pretty much spray this into wet hair and leave it to dry which is amazing if like me you don't like wash out conditioning treatments.

Full Size RRP- £55

Now first of all the RRP of this product is insane. I tried this on my face once i read about it and it felt amazing. It isn't too greasy and it absorbs into the skin well, which is something i love. Another thing i absolutely love about this sample is the packaging. It comes in a mini pump which itself is adorable but it is then also packaged in a small green box, there's just something about packaging that i love. This product is not yet available as it has not yet launched, however you can join the waiting list on birch box to buy it when it is released.

FULL SIZE PRODUCT ALERT-  RRP- £7.99

I've been wanting to try EcoTOOLS brushes for a long time but for some reason I've just never actually got them so when i saw this when i opened my box this month i was so excited. The brush is full size which is amazing and it feels so incredibly soft that i can't even handle it. It is perfect for applying and blending blush and after trying this I'm definitely going to be purchasing some more brushes from this brand.

Total RRP for this month's Box

£117.49

Overall i do like this months box but i was a bit disappointing by a few of the products. I know that i'm going to get smaller samples and repeat brands in these boxes but it does suck when it happens. Apart from that, i did like the box. The brush is incredible and the conditioner is great. I highly suggest trying Birchbox if you want to try out and find new brands.

Song of The Week #15

Hey Whisperers,

This weeks song of the week is a song I've fell in love with this week. This weeks artist has been featured a few time on song of the week before but i honestly can't help falling in love with his music! Enjoy...

THIS WEEKS SONG OF THE WEEK IS IDAHO BY BRYAN LANNING

When Bryan released the video for this song last week i was honestly in shock. It has such a raw and deep meaning and the video is honestly incredible. From watching their daily vlogging channel, i think most of their subscribers feel as if they know them, but Bryan has taken it to a whole new level with his music, letting us know and experience things that  are a lot more personal and deep than the usual day to day conversations we watch on their channel.

Idaho is such an emotional song. It talks about the challenges Bryan and Missy faced as their relationship grew and also the challenges they faced apart. One part of the video shows a younger Bryan facing his step-dad and for me that was the part of the video that hit me most. It is just so honest and raw that you can't help but feel the on the edge of your seat feeling waiting for what's going to come next.

As I've said before I've been watching Bryan's families daily vlogging channel (here) for about 3 years and they are honestly one of the most amazing daily vloggers out there. I've watched them grow from a small channel sharing their journey to baby to a family channel and it's been amazing to watch. I think watching Bryan go through the recording process just makes this upcoming album an even more incredible thing. When you go to a store and buy an album you never really get to see the hard work and dedication behind it. You don't get to see the late nights and early mornings like you do in the vlogs and that makes it just so much more special!

I hope you've enjoyed this weeks Song of the week, I know that Bryan is becoming a regular on these posts but hey i can't help it if he has amazing music!

Thanks for Reading,
Love

This Month's Beauty Buys

Hey Whisperers,

Over the past month I've been trying out a few new beauty products and as always I thought I would share them with you. I brought these products over a few weeks so don't be alarmed i definitely didn't go on a spending spree! Let me know if you have tried out any new products in the comments below because I'm always looking for new makeup to try out! Now lets get into the post.

This Month's Beauty Buys

£4.99 each
The first product I've been trying out is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo's. Now let's be honest I am so late to trying these it's actually ridiculous. I brought these two from my local boots where they were on offer for buy one get one half price which made them £3.74 each, which lets be honest is a great offer. The two shades i got were 101 Breathless which is from the original collection which is a beautiful gold shade and 91 Creme De Rose from the Creamy Mattes collection which is a rose toned matte shade. I use Creme De Rose everyday as my eye primer and it's perfect, it has just the right amount of pigment but it isn't too thick which i love. I would definitely recommend trying these out if you haven't already.

£3.50
Next up is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Arch and Shape pencil. Now, the reason i brought this product is because last Christmas i got the Soap and Glory Eyes Box which had the Archery Pencil in and i fell in love with it. However after using it for awhile i obviously ran out but I didn't love it enough to pay £10 for it, but then i saw this product in Superdrug a few weeks ago and I couldn't not get it. Now this product is EXACTLY the same. One end is a regular pencil and the other is more of a precision felt tip and i absolutely love it. If you love the Soap and Glory Archery Pencil but you cringe at the price this is a great dupe for it and i mean £3.50 compared to £10?! You can't really go wrong for that price.

£5.00
Next up is the another Makeup Revolution product, can you tell i love their products. This is the Makeup Revolution Pro Fix  Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray. Now for me I pretty much like any setting spray i use because, luckily, even without it my makeup doesn't really budge, however i do wear setting spray just as an extra precaution. This setting spray is £5 at Superdrug which to start of with is a great price. One thing i love about this product (apart from the beautifully elegant packaging) is the smell, it isn't too chemical like many other products but at the same time it isn't fragrance less either for £5 I'd definitely give it a try.

£4.00
Primers, primers, primers. I've tried so many it's unreal. For some reason no matter what i do my face breaks out when i use a primer, but if i don't use a primer my makeup just clings to every dry patch of skin on my face and looks terrible. So I've been trying out different primers for the past few months and this is one of the newest ones I've brought. This is the MUA Pro Base Moisturising Primer,  I have only used it a few times and I've kind of developed a love hate relationship with it and i love the fact that it has tea tree in it, which has helped with my skin but it isn't exactly great at priming,it's more of a moisturiser so i tend to mix it with my L'Oreal Paris Infallible Primer . But for £4 i may as well keep using it and see if it carries on helping my skin.

£2.99
I can not even begin to explain how much i love this product! I first saw this on a friends snapchat and i fell in love, so as you do, i messaged her to find out what it was and went and brought it the next day (please say I'm not the only one who does that). This is the Collection Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner in Funk and it is absolutely beautiful. I had never used glitters on my eyes before this, so when i tried it i was in love, it is so easy to use and it adds so much to an eye look. I have yet to use it as an actual eyeliner because the glitter is a bit chunky compared to other glitters i've seen but i definitely recommend it and for £2.99?! How can you not give it a try.

Last but definitely not least is probably the product i am the most excited about. This is the Too Faced Cat Eyes palette and it is gorgeous. I've been wanting to try out some Too Faced products for quite awhile but I've never actually committed to getting any, but when i saw this palette i fell in love. One of my favourite things about this product however is probably the price i paid for it. As most of you know I love TKMaxx so as i normally do i popped in to have a look at the makeup and found this amazing deal for only £9.99 and i couldn't resist getting it. Obviously being as curious as i am i had to look at how much it retails for and i was shocked when i saw that it retails in Debenhams for £32. It contains 3 matte shadows, 3 shimmer shadows and 3 wet to dry shadows which for £9.99 i would have been a fool to leave behind!

So they were my beauty buys for this month, I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any of these products let me know what you think of them down below, and remember to always look in the makeup section at your local TKMaxx because some of the products they have in are amazing, I've seen all sorts of brands from Nars to Too Faces and BH Cosmetics it really is a hidden gem when it comes to makeup.
