Morphe 60p Dupe? Primark Ps... Custom Eyes Review

Morphe 60p Dupe? Primark Ps... Custom Eyes Review

Hey Whisperers.

Last year i did a post on the Makeup Obsession range at Boots and you guys loved it, so when i saw a similar product in Primark i knew i had to try it! Plus, lets be honest i just love Primark makeup. This weeks post is on the new Primark Custom Eyes customizable eye shadow palettes and I'm way too excited about them so lets jump straight into the post!

Primark PS.. Custom Eyes Review

How It Works

Much like the Makeup Obsession range (post here) you pick the individual shades that you want in your palette and build it up. In Primark you can pick from 4 or 9 shade palettes, which i love as i think anything larger just takes up way too much space. Primark have a pretty wide range of shadows to pick from, from what i can see online there's around 30 shades that range from matte to shimmer to metallic. You then pay for the palette and shadows separately take them home and pop them in, it's so simple but also super fun.

What I Got and Swatches

Like i previously mentioned i picked up the 4 shade pan, which i kinda regret now but more about that later, for £2.I also picked up 4 shadows too (could i be any more obvious) in the shades Bone, Baked, Gold Digger and Truffle for 60p each, yep you read right SIXTY PENCE, i was expecting them to be more expensive but as soon as i saw they were 60p i knew i had to have them.

Top to Bottom

Bone
Baked
Gold Digger
Truffle

Honestly, i was quite shocked by the quality of these shadows. I've tried my fair share of Primark shadows (post here) and they've definitely not been the best quality, but these are the complete opposite. They're pigmented, soft, blendable and I'm kinda in love. I brought some Morphe shadows not too long ago and these are 10x better than those and they cost £4.50 each on Beauty Bay ,which is more than i paid for this whole palette, which just shows that bigger brands don't always have the best products. Alongside the pans the actual palette is also amazing quality, it's a nice soft touch matte black which i love and it magnetically closes too. Something i love the most about this palette though is the fact that the pans stick in the slots with magnets, i know this seems like such a simple thing but in the Makeup Obsession palette your pans just clip in and i can't even tell you how many times they've fallen out and caused a mess so i was super happy to find out that these are kept in by a magnet.

Overall Thoughts

For 60p can you really go wrong with these shadows? They're a little powdery, but for the price i wouldn't expect them not to be a little powdery. I definitely think they're worth trying and i will be going back and getting as many shades as i can when i get paid next. I love how affordable they are and the quality of the palette itself is amazing.  I do wish the palette had a mirror inside but for the price i don't mind too much. The only complaint i have about the whole palette is the packaging that the pans come in, it's like a flimsy folded cardboard and the pans are just lay inside with nothing keeping them still so they slip around and by the time you open it up it's full of little bits of shadow which just ends up messy, but apart from that i love them, to me they're more than a dupe for Morphe  they're 10x better.

Will you be trying out any of the Primark shadows?
Let me know in the comments down below!

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

Hey Whisperers,

It's that time again, Birchbox time. I've said in my past few months that I've been thinking of switching my subscription to Glossybox and I've decided that I'm definitely going to be doing that starting January so next months Birchbox post will be the last! This month's box is a pretty good one though so lets get into unboxing it!

Birchbox Unboxing - November 2017

What Is Birchbox

If you're new to Birchbox, Birchbox is a monthly subscription box that you receive each month with 5 products to try out. The products can range from sample size to full size and they also range in price. All products in the box can be found on the Birchbox website where the box is purchased for £12.95 each month. Each box is designed and themed differently each month, with this month's box being Vogue 100 themed.  Birchbox has introduced a new scheme called Birchbox Benefits, where after 6 months of being subscribed, you become a Birchbox VIP meaning you get the first chance to pick a product or the design of your box each month. As a  Birchbox VIP you also get 15% off everything in the Birchbox shop with it a pretty good deal for just being subscribed.

What I Got This Month

Percy and Reed Smoothed,Sealed and Sensational Volumising No Oil Oil.
RRP £14

By now we all know that i don't really use any of the hair products that i receive in my boxes. I have super sensitive skin so i tend to stay away from hair oils. I have altered my Beauty Profile but i seem to get hair products pretty much every month. Although i won't be using this oil i did swatch it to get a feel of it and it does feel quite nice, it isn't too thick like some other hair oils and it does smell quite nice. It isn't an overpowering smell, it kind of just smells clean which i like. I think if you're an avid hair oil user this would be a great product for you.

Birchbox Brush Cleaner
Full Size - RRP £5

I already have a product similar to this so i may put this into my upcoming giveaway, but these little brush cleaners are a life saver. I use my Primark one to clean my eye shadow brushes all the time and it makes it so easy to get all of the pigment out of them. I also love how small they are as it makes travelling with them so easy. Although it is a pretty basic product to get i am super happy that i got it, it's definitely one of my favourite products in this months box.

Seche Vite, Dry Fast Top Coat
Full Size - RRP £9

I love the sound of this product, according to the Birchbox description says that this nail polish penetrates (not a good enough reason to use the word penetrate - if you know you know)  through your polish to form it into a solid with a 'long lasting' glossy seal. The packaging also says that it is 'the worlds finest top coat' and that it won't cause your nails to turn yellow like most nail polishes do after you have them on for awhile. I can't wear nail polish at the minute as i work with food so i can't wait till i have some time off work so i can give this a try.

Clarins Hand And Nail Treatment Cream
RRP £21

I've never tried anything from Clarins before so i was quite excited when i saw this product in my box. My hands have been so dry lately as the weather has been changing so this product couldn't have arrived at a better time. Although it isn't full size it is a pretty decent sample size at 30ml, which personally i think is a perfect size for a hand cream. I've tested it out a few times (I've literally just put it on before i started this paragraph) and it's amazing, it isn't greasy or super thick like a lot of other hand creams I've tried and it sinks into the skin super fast. I'm not a huge fan of the scent as it is more of a clean/plant like smell but I'm definitely going to be keeping it in my bag over the colder months.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
RRP £24.50

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but i frigging love this bronzer. It's super pigmented, blendable and it's the perfect colour. I already have quite a few mini's of this product but i will never have enough of it. I love the plastic packaging on this one as it will make it a lot easier to store than my other boxed minis. I could receive one of these every month and I'd be happy as can be it's one of my all time favourite beauty products.

This Months Total RRP

£73.50

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this months box, it's definitely better than some of the other boxes that I've received lately. As i did previously say, next months Birchbox unboxing will be my last but i will definitely be unboxing a new beauty box in January so keep a look out for that!

If you want to try out Birchbox feel free to use my link to get £5 off your first box making it just £7.95!

I hope you've enjoyed this months unboxing!

Winter Decor Wishlist

Winter Decor Wishlist

Hey Whisperers,

I've recently become obsessed with decorating, every store i go to the home section is my paradise. I'm going to be re-decorating my room soon but before i start a post on that i thought that i would do a quick post on some of the Winter Decor items that I've added to my wishlist. I'm a big lover of budget decor as it can get pretty pricey when it comes to decorating so i am going to try and keep this post pretty budget friendly too! I hope you enjoy!

Winter Decor Wishlist

'Wake Me UP When Santa's Here' Bedding
Avaliable here from Matalan
£20

I don't know if it's just me, but i absolutely love Christmas bedding, so much that I've already had mine on for over a month. This set from Matalan is super cute, i love the fact that they're quite bright and light instead of the normal solid red/green colour but they still have the colours running throughout them. I also love the little red pom-poms that border the pillow cases. The only downside to this set is that it does only come in a double or king size option, which does kind of suck, I am going to be getting a double bed soon though so hopefully it will still be in stock when i get my bed.

Faux Fur Throw
View on Primarks Website Here
£15

We all know i love Primark so there was pretty much no way that i would have been able to do this post without including something from their Home section. This Faux Fur Throw is one of, if not the, softest throws that I've ever felt it's amazing. I do love the Christmas throws that Primark have in at the minute but i just love how simple this one is too, if not more. I also love that this throw isn't overpriced like most throws that I've seen, it's a decent size and the quality is amazing so it's definitely  something I'm going to pick up next time i see it.

Christmas Cookie Candle
Avaliable Here From Yankee Candle
£1.99 - £23.99

I don't know what it is about this scent but it just makes my whole room smell so cosy and warm. I'm not a huge fan of candles that smell like food but this one is amazing. I brought so many of small 'votive' versions of this candle last Christmas because they just smell so amazing so hopefully i can get my hands on the big jar this year because it's definitely worth it.

Small Geo Wire Storage Basket
Avaliable Here From Oliver Bonas
£20

Like i previously said, i love throws and when it comes to me i just end up throwing them all in a pile in my room, so when i saw this wire basket from Oliver Bonas i fell in love with it. Lets be honest it's pretty much made to keep all my fluffy throws in! I love the fact that it's gold as it will go perfectly with my new room and it's not too huge that it will look too much. It's pretty much perfect.

White Christmas Gold Polka Dot Mug
Avaliable Here From Zazzle
£10.55

You can't have Christmas hot chocolate, without a Christmas mug. I'm in love with this one from Eyestigmatic_Design on Zazzle, it's absolutely adorable. Like the bedding i previously mentioned, i love the fact that this isn't in your face red and green, Santa and Reindeer's kind of Christmas but instead a more gentle and cosy side instead. I also love that it's from a smaller business as i think it's super important to support smaller businesses, especially at Christmas.

I can't wait to share more of my decor wishlist's with you guys, I'm going to be writing a few more over the upcoming months as I'm going to be completely re-doing my room so let me know if there are any specific kinds of posts you would like me to do!

I hope you've enjoyed this post,

Thanks for Reading,

November Wishlist

November Wishlist

Hey Whisperers,

So this past week has pretty much been full of writers block, sometimes i can have pages and pages of ideas and then the next week i can have nothing. This past week has definitely been a nothing kind of week. I didn't really know what to post today and then i came across a few things while i was online shopping and i decided that a wishlist would be the perfect post. I haven't done one of these in quite awhile but i hope you enjoy!

November Wishlist 2017
£5

I go to Primark all the time, like pretty much once a week and I'm still yet to see this cardigan. I absolutely love mustard colours at this time of the year so this is 100% my taste and for £5 it's an amazing price. As soon as this comes into my local store I'm going to be grabbing it.

£23

These eye-shadows have been everywhere since they were released a few months ago and I've wanted them ever since. No matter how many shadows i try, i can't find any that are sparkly enough but these look incredible in swatches, so next pay day i might treat myself.

£5

I've been seeing these highlighters everywhere and they look amazing. I don't need anymore highlighters but i honestly just can't help buying more. I've never tried a loose highlighter before either so I'm excited to see these in stores, swatch them and hopefully buy them.

£12

I'm going to redecorate my room in a few weeks and I've been looking for bedding for my new bed and as soon as i saw this i fell in love. I'm pretty much going for a grey, white, pink, blue and gold theme (could i pick any more colours) and this bedding fits perfectly and i mean for £12 it's a great price. (PS. Let me know if you want a 'room tour' or 'room transformation post' in the comments below)

£28.99

Taking product photos during the autumn/winter is by far one of the most irritating things ever. Lighting is never perfect and it makes taking decent photos almost impossible so i definitely want to invest in some lighting. These seem pretty cheap, which obviously isn't always a good thing but at the same time i don't want to splurge too much into them if i don't like them so hopefully on my next pay day I'll be able to try these out.

There's so many things that i could add to this list but I'm going to end it here or it will go on forever. I hope you've enjoyed this post!
